I have been training and will compete with Pensacola FC. Pensacola FC is one of the clubs chosen to compete in the new NPSL U-19 league.

NHS went into overtime with a score of 3-3 and emerged victorious after scoring four additional goals to make the final score 7-3. I played 94 minutes out of 100 total minutes in the match and notched two assists.

I traveled to Southern California to represent Florida ODP at the Pacific Coast Invitational. The Florida ODP State team will competed against SoCal, NorCal and Santa Barbara DA. Florida finished with two wins and one tie. Michael had four assists. For highlights please go to the Videos page.
January 2019
Niceville High School won the district championship and advanced to the Regional Semi Finals. The team lost to Leon in with a close 1-0 score. Michael was the only freshman at NHS on the varsity roster for playoffs.

After a strong showing at the Disney qualifier and an increase in ranking the Brevard SA Showcase team has been accepted to play at the Disney Showcase. The Disney Showcase schedule for the team is online.

Gotsoccer.com has the team ranked at 11th in Florida, up 15 points since last season. The team is 20th in Region 3 and 143 nationally.
September 1-3, 2018
Brevard won two and tied finish in the top spot in its bracket and play on to the semifinals. In the semis Brevard lost to the eventual tournament winner. With the strong showing Brevard's ranking improved to 14th in Florida and 26th in Region 3.
August 18-19, 2018
Competing in the top division of the Brevard Season Opener Tournament, the Brevard SA 03 Showcase team finished first. The team beat #18 J Petrov and #21 Beachside Impact. Michael scored one goal during the tournament on a PK vs. Beachside Impact.

Brevard SA Showcase finished 2nd in the 2018 Florida Cup. The team will now compete at the Southeast Regional Tournament. The schedule is here.

Competing in the 1500 Michael ran 4:27 finishing 5th among middle school athletes and 9th overall (including track clubs). His time was a personal best and converts to a mile time of 4:46.

With a time of 4:52 Michael beat his personal best in the mile by two seconds at the DMS track meet. This beat his prior time which was also a school record. Michael also finished first in the 800 and 4X400. The Destin Log article covers the DMS boys team first place finish in the meet.

Michael broke school record when he won the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:54. Michael's previous personal best was 5:08. The April 13 Destin log article features Michael and the DMS track team win.

Michael scored two goals in the Brevard Showcase 4-1 win over #22 ranked J. Petrov Academy in the quarterfinals of the Florida Cup. Michael scored the first goal on the game and last last goal on a free kick.

For the second straight year, Michael will be playing for the Florida ODP team at Region III camp at the University of Alabama this July.

The Brevard SA showcase team won its first game in the Florida cup, beating the number one seed ACYS. Last year's Florida Cup winner, ACYS is ranked number 8 in Florida.
February 17-18, 2018
The RAD 03 Boys were undefeated for the weekend to win the ASG President's Cup Tournament. Michael scored three goals in the three games he played in.
February 2, 2018
Michael has been invited to play on a new showcase team from Brevard SA. The team will be comprised of some of the best players from central and northern Florida. The team will be playing in the Florida Cup. The first Florida Cup game is scheduled for March 25th in Orlando. Michael will be dual rostered and remain on his home club team RAD from Destin.
Michael took a hard shot on goal that bounced of the keeper's hands. A teammate followed the shot and got the only goal of the game. The Destin Log article describes the exciting win.
The Destin Log covered the DMS win over Liza Jackson in the semi-finals of the County Soccer Championships. Destin entered the competition as first seed with a record that included no match losses. Michael's two goals were highlighted in the article.

Michael was recognized with the FCA Influence Award for his achievement and character while on the 2017 DMS cross country team.
October 29, 2017
Michael earned an individual medal in the Florida State Cross Country Championship. Competing with his Destin Marlins Middle School team, he finished 13th out of 345 runners. With a time of 10:25, Michael broke his school's record by half a minute. Michael is mentioned in an article in the local newspaper.
After completing the race, Michael flew from Tampa to Pensacola to play an SRPL game with his RAD '03 boys team later that day.

Michael finished first in Okaloosa County Championship meet. He also finished first in all County meets. His DMS team finished 2nd overall at County.

Michael finished first in the Cross Country meet at Shoal River. Michael has finished first in the past three meets. The Destin Middle School boys team took first place.
September 9, 2017
The local paper, the Destin Log, wrote an article about the cross country meet.
The article stated: "In the boy’s race, it was a battle at the finish line for first place. Running neck and neck the last 25 meters was Destin’s Michael O’Leary and Scott Rodriguez of Meigs. At the finish, O’Leary lunged forward to place first at 12:01:65, while Rodriguez crossed second at 12:01:90."
This Destin Log article on September 29, 2017 noted that Michael finished in first place despite falling down during the start of the race.
Michael was featured in an article and the cover of the September 2017 issue of the Plantation Living magazine. The magazine is one of the Destin area's largest publications.
May 2017
The Magnificent Marlin award is Destin Middle School's top award. Only awarded to one boy and one girl in each class, the Magnificent Marlin is based on academics, leadership and citizenship.

Michael competes in the ODP Region III trials at the University of Alabama.

Got Soccer ranks the RAD Boys 2003 Gold team at 30th in the state of Florida.
